Vortex Companies Acquires MCSP to Expand Geotechnical Services
Vortex Companies has acquired Municipal & Contractors Sealing Products (MCSP), a company specializing in infrastructure rehabilitation. The acquisition expands Vortex's service offerings and strengthens its presence in the Midwest.
HOUSTON, Sept. 28, 2026 – Vortex Companies, a provider of trenchless solutions for water and sewer infrastructure rehabilitation, announced today the acquisition of Municipal & Contractors Sealing Products, LLC (MCSP). MCSP, based in Cincinnati, specializes in the rehabilitation of pipelines, manholes, and tunnels, adding to Vortex's existing geotechnical capabilities.
Founded in 2000, MCSP has developed specialized rehabilitation methods for municipalities and utilities over more than 25 years. The company's expertise includes geopolymer and cementitious spray lining, protective coatings, and chemical grout injection. These services complement Vortex's offerings, which also encompass material manufacturing and other rehabilitation technologies.
Mike Vellano, CEO of Vortex Companies, highlighted the value of MCSP's experience and customer trust. "Bringing MCSP into Vortex gives us a stronger foundation in the Midwest and more ways to solve complex problems for the customers we serve," Vellano stated. The acquisition is expected to bolster Vortex's position in the U.S. Midwest market.
The acquisition is anticipated to create synergies for both companies.
