Vortex Companies Acquires UK Contractor Torrent Drainage Services
Vortex Companies has acquired UK-based trenchless rehabilitation contractor Torrent Drainage Services to enhance its project delivery capabilities in the United Kingdom.
Vortex Companies, a global provider of trenchless infrastructure rehabilitation solutions, has acquired the business and operating assets of Torrent Drainage Services Limited. The acquisition expands the field resources and technical capabilities of McAllister, a Vortex company, aiming to strengthen Vortex's project execution in the UK.
The move comes as the UK water sector enters a significant investment and delivery cycle for its infrastructure. Vortex stated that the integration of Torrent's operations will enhance its ability to perform rehabilitation projects efficiently.
Torrent Drainage Services specializes in cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, patch repairs, sewer cleaning, CCTV inspection, and robotic lateral reinstatement. The company's team has previously worked with McAllister on UK projects, providing Vortex with established operational experience.
"Torrent brings an experienced team that understands both the work and our field expectations," said Dan Watson, SVP of Vortex International. "Integrating those resources with McAllister improves how we plan, mobilize, and execute projects, giving us greater control and flexibility."
Torrent's operations will be integrated into McAllister. Vortex Companies operates globally with over 60 locations and manufactures CIPP liners, mortars, and coatings.
