VR Driving Simulator Arizona Truck Driver to Launch on Meta Quest This Month
Carbon Studio's VR driving simulator, Arizona Truck Driver, is set to enter early access on the Meta Quest platform this month, focusing on realistic trucking and business management.
Carbon Studio has announced that its virtual reality driving simulator, Arizona Truck Driver, will launch in early access on the Meta Quest platform later this month. The game is set in Arizona, USA, and aims to provide players with a comprehensive trucking experience.
Beyond completing transport missions, players will be responsible for vehicle maintenance, refueling, and managing their own company. This offering aims to fill a gap in the VR headset market for in-depth trucking simulations, which has historically been more developed on PC VR platforms with titles like American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
The game is expected to provide over 25 hours of gameplay. Players will accept transport tasks for various companies, gradually expanding their business operations. Daily vehicle upkeep, including cleaning and repairs, is also a key component of the gameplay.
Arizona Truck Driver features six different American and European truck models, each with distinct handling and physics. Customization options include over 350 items to alter the trucks' appearance. Interactive cockpits with multiple radio stations further enhance the immersive experience.
The map, inspired by Arizona, is divided into 12 regions and three distinct ecosystems, incorporating dynamic weather and seasonal changes that affect driving conditions. Players can unlock new areas by completing missions, obtaining new driving licenses, and scaling their business. The game also allows players to hire NPC drivers and expand their company headquarters.
