Game developer Vertigo Games announced that a remastered version of its classic VR game, Arizona Sunshine, will be released on January 22, 2027, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. Pre-orders are now available on Steam, with the Chinese market price set at 78.4 yuan (approximately $11 USD) after an initial discount.

The remastered edition transforms the original VR experience into a traditional third-person shooter. It introduces new features, including support for two-player online co-op and local split-screen multiplayer. The original VR version will be renamed Arizona Sunshine VR to avoid confusion.

Players will assume the role of Sunny, a survivor in the post-apocalyptic Arizona desert. A co-op partner can control Sunny's canine companion, Buddy, aiding in survival. The game focuses on navigating zombie-infested environments and managing resources.

Originally released in 2016, Arizona Sunshine gained popularity within the VR community. This remaster aims to broaden its appeal by making it accessible to players without VR equipment, while retaining core gameplay elements.
