The project focuses on developing protein production processes and identifying new, more efficient solutions to enable the manufacturing of competitive products.
This initiative is driven by the growing demand for plant-based alternatives in the food market. VTT highlights that achieving profitability requires more innovative production methods and business strategies than previously employed.
The RETHINK project seeks to address these challenges by developing novel technologies and process solutions that enhance raw material utilization and reduce production costs, ultimately aiming to bolster the position of Finnish companies in the global plant-based ingredients market.
