Vulcan Materials provides NAFTA arbitration update

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE: VMC), the nation's largest producer of construction aggregates, provided an update on July 27, 2026, regarding its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) arbitration against Mexico. The company originally filed the arbitration in 2018.

The dispute centered on Mexico's alleged repudiation of an agreement to unlock a portion of Vulcan's aggregate reserves in the country and the subsequent shutdown of the company's quarrying operations there.

A NAFTA tribunal issued its decision, finding that Mexico violated the agreement in several respects. However, the tribunal's award of monetary damages to Vulcan for Mexico's violations was negligible. The decision remains confidential until publicly available.

Vulcan Materials will host its second quarter earnings conference call on July 29, 2026.
