W Health Ventures Closes Second Fund at ₹700 Crore
Healthtech-focused VC firm W Health Ventures has closed its second fund at ₹700 crore (approximately $84 million), surpassing its original target.

W Health Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in healthtech, announced the closure of its second fund at ₹700 crore (approximately $84 million). This amount exceeded the firm's initial target corpus of ₹630 crore.
The fund received backing from a mix of family offices and institutional investors from both India and the United States. Launched in July 2025, the fund had its first close in February at ₹550 crore.
W Health Ventures plans to invest in eight to ten early-stage healthtech startups in India and the US over the next four years, covering stages from pre-idea to growth. Managing partner Pankaj Jethwani stated that the firm focuses on identifying promising concepts at a very early stage and rigorously testing them.
"Once we identify an area of strong interest, we assemble a founding team and provide them with substantial resources. Our in-house team consists of approximately 50 technologists, entrepreneurs, and clinicians who act as co-founders to help scale these ventures," Jethwani explained.
Through this second fund, W Health Ventures has already established two companies: Everhope Oncology, a cancer care platform created in partnership with Narayana Health, received a $10 million investment in March 2025. Additionally, Everbright Health was launched in the US with a $7 million investment made in October 2025 alongside Sanos Capital.
The fund's closure occurs as the Indian healthtech funding landscape is undergoing a consolidation, with investors becoming more discerning about digital health business models. W Health Ventures' approach of building companies from inception reflects a broader trend among venture investors to engage earlier in the company creation process.
