Wadswick Country Store, located near Corsham, opened its ST-2 shooting simulator two and a half years ago. The facility has become a destination for both honing shooting skills before the season and for group recreational activities.

The simulator employs a digital system that tracks the shooter's movements in real-time. Dan Scull, who manages the simulator, explained, "Think of it like DRS or VAR for shooting. You shoot, and we see through simple mathematics and a digital camera how you aim and mount [the gun]. Every move is recorded and transferred to the screen in front of you, shown in real-time or replayed."

The system allows practice in disciplines ranging from clay pigeons, tin cans, and balloons to simulated hunting scenarios involving pheasants, grouse, mallards, moose, and wild boar.

In addition to individual training, the simulator is utilized by groups for events such as stag and hen parties, birthday celebrations, and corporate team-building outings.
