Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country Gains City Approval for Development
Plans for the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country luxury resort and residential development are advancing after the Fredericksburg City Council approved a resolution.
FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – Developers of the Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country luxury resort and residential project have achieved a significant milestone following the Fredericksburg City Council's approval of a resolution that provides a clear path forward for the project's development and its long-term relationship with the city.
A key component of the resolution is the approval of a revised conceptual alignment for a future roadway. This alignment integrates with the Waldorf Astoria resort and residences master plan while also supporting the city's long-term transportation objectives.
Mark Harmon, developer of Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country, stated that the approval represents a very positive milestone for the project and its relationship with Fredericksburg. He emphasized the vision to create a world-class destination authentically rooted in the Texas Hill Country.
Site work for the project has already begun, with the development team continuing infrastructure, design, and construction planning. Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country will be the first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in Texas, located near downtown Fredericksburg and surrounded by the region's wineries and cultural attractions. The project is slated for a 2029 debut.
