Walt Disney's Private Airplane Interior Opens to Public in Palm Springs
Walt Disney's former personal Grumman G-1 airplane, featuring a newly restored interior, is accessible to the public for the first time. Palm Springs Air Museum is hosting exclusive tours in Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.

The Palm Springs Air Museum is offering the public its first opportunity to tour the restored interior of Walt Disney's personal Grumman G-1 airplane. Five exclusive "Interior Tour Experiences," each lasting two hours, are scheduled at the museum from October 2026 through April 2027.
Attendees will have a chance to view the aircraft's refurbished cabin. The events include light refreshments and presentations by speakers with ties to the aircraft and The Walt Disney Company. Dates feature former pilots and archivists from the Walt Disney Archives.
Tickets are priced at $65 for general admission and $50 for museum members, with children 12 and under admitted free with a paid adult. Attendance is limited, and reservations are required via the museum's website.
The Palm Springs Air Museum houses a collection of over 80 vintage aircraft from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, alongside aviation memorabilia.
