Warcraft III: Reforged Receives New Official Campaign After 20 Years
Blizzard Entertainment announced on September 13, 2026, the launch of a new campaign expansion for Warcraft III: Reforged. Titled "Forsaken Kingdom," the add-on provides over 30 hours of new gameplay content.

Blizzard Entertainment has released a new campaign expansion for its classic real-time strategy game, Warcraft III: Reforged. The "Warcraft III: Reforged – Forsaken Kingdom" add-on, launched on September 13, 2026, offers players more than 30 hours of new narrative content.
The campaign is structured in two parts: a prologue and a main storyline. The prologue recounts Prince Arthas Menethil's descent from paladin to death knight, featuring events like the Scourge of Stratholme. The main storyline centers on Sylvanas Windrunner in Undercity and the surrounding Plaguelands, detailing her efforts to unite the Forsaken and combat the Dreadlords.
Blizzard Entertainment has highlighted that the new campaign features dual protagonists, Arthas and Sylvanas, and revisits familiar locations and factions such as Undercity, the Scarlet Crusade, and Naxxramas. The original Warcraft III was released in 2002, followed by its expansion, The Frozen Throne, in 2003. Warcraft III: Reforged, a modernized version, was released in 2020.
This release marks the first official new campaign for Warcraft III in over two decades. The expansion aims to resonate with long-time fans of the RTS genre and those invested in the game's lore.
