Waze Adds AI Features with Gemini Integration
Navigation app Waze is introducing AI-powered updates, integrating Google's Gemini assistant to enhance user personalization and trip planning.

The navigation app Waze is set to receive a significant AI overhaul, integrating Google's Gemini assistant to offer users more personalized and intuitive trip experiences.
Two of the new features will directly leverage Gemini. The first is an updated conversational reporting system, allowing drivers to use voice commands to report traffic incidents and suggest map updates, such as road closures or outdated house numbers.
The second key addition is Destination Search, enabling drivers to use conversational voice commands for finding places. For example, users can search for "cafes open past 9 PM," receiving more tailored results.
Waze aims to improve driver safety and convenience by minimizing the need for manual interaction with the app while driving. The AI integration facilitates a more natural conversational interface.
Further details on the rollout and other planned features are expected, as Waze continues its efforts to enhance the driving experience through technology.
