Wealth Advisor Publishes Book on Historical Expeditions and Risk Management
Michigan-based wealth advisor Steve Alexandrowski has released a book drawing on lessons from history's greatest expeditions to rethink wealth, risk, and resilience.

Plymouth, Mich. – GEM Asset Management, a wealth management firm, announced that its founder, Steve Alexandrowski, CFP®, has published his debut book, "The Edge of Possibility, A Field Guide to Wealth, Risk, And Resilience From History's Greatest Expeditions." The book examines the experiences of historical and contemporary explorers, applying their lessons in adversity to the field of wealth management.
Alexandrowski draws parallels between the extreme situations and high-stakes decisions faced by explorers and the financial challenges clients encounter. He highlights how resilience and navigating adversity are critical in both physically demanding scenarios and financial planning.
The book features ten chapters, each focusing on the story of an explorer and the psychological qualities needed to endure their experiences. These lessons are then woven into best practices for financial planning. Examples include explorer Erling Kagge's 50-day trek across snow and ice, and Sarah Marquis's adaptation to uncertainty in unpredictable terrain.
Steve Alexandrowski, CFP®, is the founder and partner at GEM Asset Management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hillsdale College. Alexandrowski utilizes historical and philosophical insights to help clients navigate complex decisions that go beyond mere numbers.
