Wealthtech Firm Cashku Expands Fund Access Through Kenanga Partnership

Malaysian digital wealth platform Cashku has partnered with Kenanga Investors Berhad to broaden access to investment funds for its users. The collaboration allows Cashku users to invest in selected funds without sales charges and with a minimum investment of RM10 (approximately US$2.5).

Cashku, an AI-native platform licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia, is integrating Kenanga's funds directly into its mobile application. Users can review fund information, open accounts, set investment goals, and make investments within the app. The service also includes suitability assessments and continuous monitoring overseen by licensed human advisers.

Kenanga Investors Berhad is the asset and wealth management arm of Kenanga Investment Bank, a prominent financial institution in Malaysia. This partnership aligns with Malaysia's broader goal of increasing retail investor participation in capital markets, which stood at 25% according to the Securities Commission's Capital Market Masterplan 2026-2030.

The initiative aims to make investing more accessible by lowering entry barriers. By offering a wider range of funds with no sales charges, Cashku seeks to enhance its user proposition and contribute to the growth of Malaysia's investment landscape.
