Webull Corporation faces class action lawsuit over disclosure failures

A class action complaint, Ward v. Webull Corporation, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. The lawsuit represents investors who acquired Webull securities between April 26, 2025, and October 6, 2026, and is being managed by the law firm Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP.

The litigation alleges that Webull misrepresented its relationship with the People’s Republic of China. While the company stated that its China-based operations were restricted to research and technical support, the complaint claims that the firm’s core technology, software development, and engineering were heavily dependent on Chinese personnel and infrastructure. Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges that Webull misled shareholders about the security of cross-border data routing.

Market concerns intensified on October 7, 2026, following reports that a congressional committee uncovered significant discrepancies in the company's organizational structure, including evidence that a majority of the global workforce was employed by a mainland Chinese subsidiary. Webull shares dropped approximately 19% following these revelations. The deadline for investors to seek lead plaintiff status is December 7, 2026.
