Webull Faces Securities Class Action Over Alleged Misleading Disclosures

Webull Corporation is the subject of a securities class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. The complaint alleges that the firm made materially false statements regarding its business structure between April 26, 2025, and October 6, 2026.

The litigation follows an October 2026 report from the U.S. House Select Committee on China, which identified discrepancies between Webull’s public positioning as a U.S.-based entity and its actual reliance on China-based infrastructure and personnel. Investigators found that approximately 62% of the company's global workforce was located in mainland China, contrary to prior representations made by the firm.

Following the report's release, Webull’s stock price dropped 19.09% on October 7, 2026, causing significant losses for shareholders. The lawsuit claims that the firm failed to disclose its structural reliance on PRC-based operations, which allegedly put U.S. customer data and core engineering pipelines under the purview of Chinese law.

Attorney Charles H. Linehan of Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP stated that the case hinges on the company's failure to accurately report the scope of its overseas workforce and technical dependencies. Investors who purchased securities during the class period must file for lead plaintiff status by December 7, 2026.
