Startup investors deployed capital across a diverse range of large funding rounds this week in the U.S., with investments targeting sectors including physical AI, biotech, cybersecurity, AI infrastructure, and fintech.
The largest financing of the week was a $1.7 billion round for Atoms, a physical AI startup founded by Uber founder Travis Kalanick. Andreessen Horowitz led the round, which Kalanick stated aims to digitize major industrial economic sectors. This was followed by significant investments in 3D AI model developer Meshy AI ($400 million) and battery technology company Sila ($300 million).
Other substantial rounds included $300 million for Etched, a co-designer of chips and software for frontier models, $180 million for fintech startup Augustus, and $160 million for defense tech company Cathedral.
Notable funding also went to biotech firm Crystalys Therapeutics ($130 million), healthcare software developer Candid Health ($120 million), and cybersecurity startup Glow ($100 million).
The funding rounds were raised by U.S.-based companies during the week of July 18–24, 2026, according to Crunchbase data on announced deals.
