WEH Ventures Closes Third Fund at ₹250 Crore Corpus
Venture capital firm WEH Ventures has announced the first close of its third fund (Fund III), targeting a total corpus of ₹250 crore. The fund has already made eight seed-stage investments.
Venture capital firm WEH Ventures has achieved the first close of its third fund, Fund III, with a target corpus of ₹250 crore. The fund is expected to reach its final closing by mid-2027.
Limited partners in the fund include Nordic fund-of-funds Play Capital, several family offices, and founders and executives from various established companies. The capital will be deployed across 20-25 seed-stage startups in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, agriculture, energy transition, AI, healthcare, consumer goods, and fintech.
WEH Ventures has already begun deploying capital from Fund III, committing to eight investments in startups focused on advanced agriculture, robotics, healthcare diagnostics, retail, and edtech. Notable early investments include advanced horticulture startup Fragaria and elder-healthcare startup Praan Health.
Since its inception in 2017, WEH Ventures has invested in over 30 companies. The firm reports strong past performance, with Fund I returning 1.4X capital and Fund II tracking above top-quartile performance with a 29% IRR. WEH Ventures typically backs companies at the pre-seed and seed stages, and its portfolio companies have collectively raised over ₹400 crore in subsequent funding rounds.
