Welthungerhilfe and Terre des Hommes to Release Report on German Development Policy
On June 24, Welthungerhilfe and Terre des Hommes will present "Kompass 2026", a report analyzing the direction of German development policy and humanitarian aid amidst global crises.

German aid organizations Welthungerhilfe and Terre des Hommes will present their report "Kompass 2026 – The Reality of German Development Policy and Humanitarian Aid" on Wednesday, June 24. The presentation will be held at Hotel Aquino in Berlin and will also be available via Zoom.
The report analyzes the German government's approach in times of escalating global crises, including ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Sudan, and a growing worldwide youth protest movement. It examines how Germany's development cooperation and humanitarian aid policies address global challenges and uphold commitments to human rights and humanitarian principles.
Key findings and recommendations will be presented by leadership representatives Joshua Hofert from Terre des Hommes and Mathias Mogge from Welthungerhilfe. The discussion will also address potential decreases in funding for humanitarian aid and development cooperation and their implications for Germany's international responsibility.
Welthungerhilfe is one of Germany's largest private aid organizations dedicated to a world without hunger. Terre des Hommes focuses on protecting children's rights and supports local partners in 47 countries. Both organizations operate independently of governments and other political or religious influences.
