Welthungerhilfe hosts charity run in Düsseldorf
Welthungerhilfe is holding its #ZeroHungerRun charity event for the first time in Düsseldorf, Germany. The event aims to raise funds for efforts against hunger and poverty in Sierra Leone.

The German aid organization Welthungerhilfe will host its #ZeroHungerRun event for the first time in Düsseldorf on June 21, 2023. The charity run aims to raise funds for the organization's work in Sierra Leone, where a significant portion of the population suffers from poverty and malnutrition.
Participants can engage by running or walking a 5 km or 10 km course in Düsseldorf's Volksgarten. While participation is free, voluntary donations will support the organization's projects in the West African nation.
The organization highlights that the Düsseldorf run aims to draw attention to the global hunger crisis. According to Welthungerhilfe, up to 828 million people worldwide lack sufficient food.
Welthungerhilfe has previously organized similar successful charity runs in Bonn and Cologne. The most recent event in Düsseldorf, held in June of this year, saw 1,205 participants.
