WeRide subsidiary Jingshuo secures funding for physical AI data infrastructure

Jingshuo, a data infrastructure developer for physical AI spun out of autonomous driving firm WeRide, has secured tens of millions of dollars in pre-Series A funding. The round attracted backing from Vision Knight Capital, the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, and Sirius Capital.

The capital infusion is slated for expanding the company's research and development headcount and advancing its data platform and world models. The company aims to refine systems for reusable robotic skills and increase its output of high-quality datasets designed for diverse operational environments.

The venture originated from WeRide’s internal research initiatives and is led by CEO Huo Da, one of the parent company's original employees. While Jingshuo maintains independent operations, it remains a majority-owned subsidiary of WeRide, with its financial performance consolidated into the parent company’s reports.
