The European payment system Wero, utilized within the German Sparkassen banking group, has now exceeded 3 million active users. This new milestone was reached approximately 20 days after the system previously marked 2 million users. Customers can activate Wero through their respective 'App Sparkasse'.

This rapid user growth indicates Wero's increasing integration into daily transactions. The system is being used for peer-to-peer money transfers, within families, and in e-commerce. The rising number of activations reinforces Wero's position as part of a connected European payment solution.
