Western Star Resources to Drill Historic Nevada Tungsten Property
Western Star Resources Inc. announced plans for a six-hole, approximately 930-meter drill program at its Rowland Tungsten Property in Elko County, Nevada, targeting known mineralization.

Western Star Resources Inc. is preparing to commence a six-hole, approximately 930-meter drill program at its wholly-owned, past-producing Rowland Tungsten Property in Elko County, Nevada. The program is designed to explore extensions of known mineralization and new targets in an area that has not been drilled in decades.
The drill targets are based on an integrated dataset, including previous soil and rock assays, along with new magnetic and geophysical surveys. The company plans to test the Rowland Main target with four holes and the Northern Zone B target with two holes. At Rowland Main, drilling will focus on a historical open pit and an adjacent magnetic body, while at Northern Zone B, drilling aims to explore mineralization beneath historical mine workings.
The property's historical significance for tungsten production and its importance as a strategic defense material have driven renewed exploration interest. New U.S. defense regulations, set to restrict tungsten imports from certain countries starting December 2027, underscore the value of domestic resources.
Western Star Resources is also awaiting progress on environmental permitting with the U.S. Forest Service and Nevada state agencies. CEO Blake Morgan stated that historical data has been combined with modern datasets, enabling targeted drilling across three identified zones.
