WeWork India Returns to Loss in Q1 FY27

WeWork India reported a consolidated net loss of ₹4.1 crore (approximately $0.5 million USD) for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), marking a return to losses after three consecutive profitable quarters. The company stated that its loss narrowed by 71% compared to the same period last year, when it incurred a loss of ₹14.2 crore.

Operating revenue for the quarter increased by 28% to ₹683.8 crore, up from ₹535.3 crore in Q1 FY26. However, the company's top line saw a sequential decrease of 2% from the previous quarter (Q4 FY26), amounting to ₹696.1 crore.

EBITDA for the period showed significant growth, rising 31% year-over-year and 176% sequentially to ₹454.8 crore. Total expenses increased by 5% from the previous quarter and by 26% compared to the same quarter last year.

The reported figures are in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS). According to the company's own reporting, based on IGAAP-equivalent calculations, net profit surged to ₹53.2 crore, a 533.3% increase year-over-year.
