Great Wall Motor Company Limited's luxury SUV brand, Wey, made its international debut at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt in September 2017. The event is regarded as a significant gathering within the automotive industry.

Wey aims to redefine the luxury SUV segment. The brand's entry into the international arena highlights its ambition to compete globally. The company has invested heavily in cross-border research and development, with R&D centers located in Japan, Europe, and North America.

At the Frankfurt show, Wey presented four new energy vehicles: the VV5s Hi4 and VV7s Hi4 hybrid models, the P8 plug-in hybrid, and the all-electric XEV concept car. This lineup signals Wey's commitment to electrification and the development of new energy solutions within the SUV market.
