Wey High Mountain 8 HEV: Pre-orders Open
Wey, Great Wall Motor's luxury brand, has opened pre-orders for its new High Mountain 8 HEV hybrid model. The vehicle starts at a price of 275,800 yuan.
Wey, the luxury marque of Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor, has initiated pre-orders for its new all-wheel-drive, hybrid MPV, the "High Mountain 8 HEV." The vehicle is priced from 275,800 yuan (approximately $38,000 USD) with deliveries expected to commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
The new model emphasizes advanced driver-assistance systems, spacious and adaptable interiors, hybrid performance, and chassis comfort. Wey is offering a lifetime warranty on the powertrain and a six-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty for the entire vehicle.
Design-wise, the "High Mountain 8 HEV" adopts the brand's "high mountains and flowing water" design language. The vehicle measures 5,280mm in length, 1,960mm in width, and 1,900mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,145mm. Seven exterior color options are available.
The interior highlights flexibility and comfort, featuring front Nappa leather seats with 10-point massage, heating, and ventilation functions. The driver's seat also includes headrest audio. The hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with dual electric motors, producing a system output of 322 kW and 782 Nm of torque. The MPV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, with a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 6.92L/100km.
