W.H. Bender & Associates mentors students at North Salinas High School

Foodservice consultant William H. Bender conducted a training session for ProStart students at North Salinas High School on October 27. The event served as part of the Force-In Training (FIT) program facilitated by the California Restaurant Foundation.

The initiative focuses on bridging the gap between classroom education and the restaurant industry by providing students with direct access to professionals. Bender’s session aimed to offer practical insight into operational roles and career paths available within the sector.

The California Restaurant Foundation coordinates these training days to support vocational development for high school students. By partnering with industry experts, the foundation seeks to prepare the next generation for roles in the hospitality field.
