White House Appoints Avi Loeb to Lead UFO Research Council

Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb has been appointed to lead the UAP Science Advisory Council, a new body established by the White House, Pentagon, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, FBI, and the broader intelligence community.

The council's primary mission is to provide scientific reports and advice aimed at determining the nature of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs.

Loeb, known for his public advocacy regarding extraterrestrial phenomena and his work on the 'Oumuamua object, brings a diverse team to the council. Members include specialists in pathology, computer science, philosophy, and psychology, alongside physicists.

The establishment of this council signals a more structured governmental approach to understanding UAP, integrating scientific expertise to analyze reported incidents and data.
