WHO Regional Committee for Europe Convenes 76th Session in Copenhagen
The WHO Regional Office for Europe has commenced its 76th committee session in Copenhagen to review the integration of health priorities into regional public policy.

The 76th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe opened on October 27, 2026, in Copenhagen. Corinne Capuano, the Officer-in-Charge, presided over the proceedings, as Regional Director Hans Kluge is currently on leave.
Central to the discussions is the progress of the Second European Programme of Work, adopted one year ago by the 53 member states of the European Region. The framework emphasizes that public health is an essential driver of economic growth and societal progress, advocating for its central placement in national policy agendas.
Delegates are meeting to evaluate the implementation of these health strategies and to coordinate future initiatives. The session serves as a platform for member states to align on regional health priorities.
