"Widow's Bay" and "The Pitt" win early Emmy Awards

Apple TV+'s new series "Widow's Bay" earned eight Emmy Awards at the Creative Arts ceremonies held ahead of the main event. The horror-comedy, set in a small New England town, won accolades including cinematography, sound, and production design for its debut season.

HBO Max's medical drama "The Pitt" also had a strong showing, securing four awards. Among its wins was the award for best guest actor in a drama series for veteran actor Ernest Harden Jr., marking his first Emmy win.

Other notable winners included "DTF St. Louis," which collected six awards in limited series categories. David Harbour and Linda Cardellini, stars of "DTF St. Louis," received their first Emmy awards. Actor Rob Reiner was also posthumously honored with an Emmy for his guest role in "The Bear."

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards primarily honor achievements in television production, recognizing behind-the-scenes talent. This year, some guest acting categories were moved to these earlier ceremonies, aiming to provide broader recognition for various aspects of television.
