Wihlborgs Takes Possession of Castellum's Property Portfolio in Skåne
Wihlborgs has taken possession of Castellum's property portfolio in Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg. The acquisition is the largest in Wihlborgs' history.
Malmö, Sweden – Wihlborgs has today, as planned, completed the acquisition of Castellum's property portfolio located in Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg. The transaction involves 95 properties, totaling 635,000 square meters, with a value of SEK 13.3 billion.
This acquisition marks the largest in Wihlborgs' history. The acquired portfolio is situated in areas where Wihlborgs already maintains a strong presence, including an established organization and deep local market knowledge. A larger and more cohesive portfolio is expected to better position Wihlborgs to meet tenant needs and continue developing its core markets.
Castellum had previously announced its intention to divest certain assets as part of a strategic refocusing. The completion of this deal solidifies Wihlborgs' position as a significant property owner and developer within the Skåne region.
Following the integration of these properties, Wihlborgs aims to leverage the expanded portfolio to enhance its service offerings and support its ongoing development and growth initiatives in the region.
