Windows 11 Update Enhances Magnifier Precision and Color Options

Microsoft's upcoming Windows 11 version 26H1 will introduce more precise zoom control and new color themes for the Magnifier tool. Users can now input exact percentage values and select from preset zoom levels.

Microsoft is set to enhance its Magnifier tool in the upcoming Windows 11 version 26H1 update. Recent preview builds feature a more granular zoom functionality, allowing users to directly input their desired zoom level in percentages within the tool's interface.

In addition to precise input, the update introduces a selection of preset zoom levels. Users will find options such as 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 150%, 200%, and 400% readily available, streamlining the selection of commonly used magnifications.

The Magnifier's capabilities are further expanded with the addition of four new contrast themes: Aquatic, Desert, Dusk, and Night Sky. These themes are designed to reduce screen glare without altering the colors of media content like images and videos. The options provide alternative visual experiences tailored to user preference and ambient lighting.

These contrast themes can be activated directly from the Magnifier toolbar or through the Settings menu under Accessibility > Magnifier. Once applied, a theme remains active until manually turned off. These improvements aim to increase the usability and accessibility of Windows 11 for a wider range of users.
