WONE Introduces Stress Intelligence Model for Businesses
WONE launches a 'stress intelligence' model to provide continuous measurement of employee well-being, aiming to reduce costs and improve performance by addressing workplace stress proactively.

London-based technology firm WONE has introduced a new framework for managing workplace stress, called 'stress intelligence'. The model aims to move beyond traditional annual employee surveys by offering continuous assessment through a combination of psychometric evaluations, wearable device data, and AI-powered coaching. This approach provides real-time insights into employee well-being.
The company argues that a single annual data point from surveys is insufficient to track the nuances of employee stress. WONE's system aims to offer a more dynamic view, helping businesses identify and mitigate issues like burnout, absenteeism, and high staff turnover. By understanding stress levels more effectively, companies can implement targeted interventions.
'Stress intelligence' is described as an individual's ability to detect and respond to stress signals early. WONE's Chief Scientific Officer, Lydia Roos, stated that while it's a personal skill, organizations play a crucial role in fostering an environment where it can be practiced. This involves valuing rest and recovery as essential components of sustained performance.
The model also offers managers greater visibility into team-level stress trends. If multiple employees within a team show declining scores in the same areas, it can indicate systemic issues such as workload or resourcing problems. WONE seeks to help companies reduce costs associated with stress and enhance overall employee performance and well-being.
