Woodsafe establishes group structure and strengthens governance
Wood treatment company Woodsafe is establishing Woodsafe Group AB to unify its businesses and enhance governance with a new board.

Woodsafe has established Woodsafe Group AB, consolidating its businesses under a unified group structure. This move follows the acquisition of Munktorps Träförädling earlier this summer and significant investment in its Västerås facilities.
The company is strengthening its governance by forming a professional Board of Directors and a group management team. Johan Padel, former head of Holmen’s Wood Products business area, will assume the role of Chairman. Padel's appointment is intended to bolster the company's strategic direction and oversight.
Based in Västerås, Sweden, Woodsafe has expanded its operations in recent years, focusing on industrial fire-retardant treatment of timber, timber processing, and research and development. The establishment of a group structure aims to streamline operations and management.
The new group structure and enhanced board are expected to support Woodsafe's growth objectives and market expansion within the timber treatment sector.
