Workshop launches AI Studio to automate internal communications tasks
Workshop, an internal communications platform, has launched AI Studio, an AI add-on designed to automate tasks and expand capacity for small communications teams without increasing headcount.

Omaha, Neb. – Workshop, a platform for internal communications, today announced the launch of AI Studio, a new premium AI add-on aimed at enabling organizations to delegate tasks to artificial intelligence. The AI Studio introduces scheduled AI agents and secure connectors to company systems, designed to help small communications teams manage their workload without requiring additional staff.
Workshop states that many internal communications teams consist of one or two people responsible for reaching an entire organization. These teams gather information, run recurring programs, and ensure messages reach the right people at the right time. AI Studio is built to address the priority of automating repetitive tasks, identified as the top concern for 68% of communicators in Workshop's Internal Comms Trends Report.
The AI Studio acts as an agentic layer, allowing AI agents to perform tasks that communication teams know how to do but often lack the time for. These agents follow instructions, pull information from existing systems, and provide drafts for review. The platform also allows communicators to build their own agents and schedule them, a capability Workshop highlights as a first for internal communications platforms.
Key features include secure connectors to systems like SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, reducing manual data transfer. The system supports the use of various AI models, including Claude and ChatGPT, through the Workshop MCP server, with enterprise-level AI controls for administrators. Workshop emphasizes that AI Studio operates within existing user permissions, ensuring data security and mitigating risks for organizations.
