World Humanoid Robot Games Conclude, UT-BOT Tops Medal Counts

The second World Humanoid Robot Games concluded on Sunday at the "Ice Ribbon" National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing. Over five days, 666 teams from 16 countries and 2056 robots competed across 51 events.

Shanghai-based UT-BOT (智元机器人), participating for the first time, secured 18 gold, 16 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Their production models, including "Jingling G2", "Lingxi X2", and "Yuanzheng A3", competed in various disciplines such as firefighting and rescue, book sorting, obstacle courses, boxing, and table tennis. UT-BOT led the competition in both gold and overall medal counts.

The event also saw significant performance improvements compared to previous competitions. For instance, the winning time in the 400-meter race improved dramatically to 38.15 seconds (from 1:28.03). Results in the 1500-meter race and high jump also saw substantial gains. The men's 100-meter race saw its record broken multiple times, with the final winning time recorded at 8.64 seconds.

During the closing ceremony, the world's first comprehensive dataset of humanoid robot sports performances was released. Spanning over 2500 hours, the dataset includes data from 12 application scenarios, such as industrial settings, supermarkets, restaurants, offices, and homes. It encompasses over 10,000 detailed tasks and will be made freely available to the public.

The third World Humanoid Robot Games are scheduled to be held in Beijing in August 2027.
