Blizzard Entertainment announced the pre-download for the Chinese Beta test of World of Warcraft: Infinite is now available. The game is set for a global launch on November 5, with the Beta commencing on October 6. This will be a "wipable" test, meaning progress will not carry over to the live game.
The Beta period will run until October 27. Access is limited to players who have purchased the "Celestial Epic Pack" or obtained entry through official promotions. Upon global release, the game will be playable with a standard World of Warcraft subscription, requiring no additional purchase.
World of Warcraft: Infinite, revealed at BlizzCon 2026, is positioned as a third major pillar alongside the retail and Classic versions of the game. It explores a new parallel timeline based on the level 60 classic Azeroth, featuring updated visuals with real-time global illumination while retaining the original 2004 art style. The game emphasizes classic elements like no flying mounts or level scaling, focusing on exploration and group content.
A new playable "Celestial" elf race, available to both Alliance and Horde, has been introduced with unique abilities and an introductory storyline. The game adds new zones, over 1,000 new quests, and nine new dungeons. Future content includes 10-player and 20-player modes for specific dungeons, and a remastered 40-player raid. New race-class combinations and systems like "camping" and updated PvP battlegrounds are also part of the expansion.
