The 2026 World Robot Conference will be held in Beijing from August 19 to 23, under the theme "Human-Machine Symbiosis, Production-Demand Integration." The event is expected to showcase over 2,000 exhibits, including more than 150 newly launched products.

The conference will see an increase in scale and participation, with support from nearly 30 international organizations. The proportion of international guests at the main forum will be 30 percent. The exhibition will feature over 300 participating companies, a 36 percent increase from the previous year. The number of concurrent events will double to over 60.

A "Global Robot Application Exploration Plan" will be launched at the event, inviting innovative teams to test emerging products free of charge. Additionally, China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) will announce the establishment of a robotics innovation consortium among central state-owned enterprises. This initiative aims to foster collaborative research, shared application scenarios, and joint exploitation of outcomes.

The finals of the World Robot Competition will also occur concurrently, with over 10,000 contestants from more than 20 countries participating. Registration for the conference and exhibition opened on July 6. Individuals under 18 and over 60 years of age will receive free exhibition entry.

China's robotics sector has demonstrated substantial growth. From January to May 2026, the operating revenue of above-scale industrial enterprises in the robotics sector surpassed 90 billion yuan, marking a 26.9 percent year-on-year increase. Over the past five years, the average annual growth rate has exceeded 20 percent.
