World Youth Forum Launches Global AI Talent Compact
The World Youth Forum (WYF) has launched the Global AI Talent Compact at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva. The initiative aims to advance AI literacy and youth development globally.

GENEVA, July 10, 2026 – The World Youth Forum (WYF), an international non-profit focused on youth development, today launched the Global AI Talent Compact at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva. WYF served as an official session partner for the summit, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as the United Nations' leading platform on artificial intelligence.
The Compact establishes a global network committed to five key principles: expanding access to AI literacy, defining crucial human capabilities in the AI era, scaling challenge- and project-based learning, safeguarding youth well-being, and recognizing ability through demonstrated work rather than solely credentials.
"AI is changing not only how young people learn and create, but how talent is identified and recognized," stated Houston Hou, Global Executive Convener of WYF. "Young people need pathways through which real ability can be seen, trusted, and connected. The Compact is an open invitation to build those pathways together."
The launch event gathered leaders from UN agencies, academia, and youth innovation sectors. Following the launch, WYF plans to convene universities, student AI societies, educational and innovation organizations, and industry partners worldwide to advance year-round AI learning, develop new forms of talent recognition, and create pathways connecting young talent with real-world opportunities.
