WPS and JD.com launch joint subscription campaign
WPS is offering a multi-year subscription bundle that includes one-year memberships to various Chinese digital platforms.
Office software provider WPS has introduced a promotion allowing customers who purchase a three-year super membership to receive an additional one-year subscription to a partner service. Participating platforms include the JD.com PLUS membership, as well as content providers such as Ximalaya, Mango TV, NetEase Cloud Music, and Youku.
The pricing structure relies on store-specific incentives, including gift cards and loyalty points, to lower the net cost for the consumer. This model is designed to drive long-term subscriptions for WPS by bundling its productivity tools with popular consumer lifestyle services.
The campaign coincides with the lead-up to the 11.11 shopping festival, a period characterized by significant promotional activity across China's technology and e-commerce sectors. Analysts note that these bundled offerings are a standard tactic for Chinese software companies looking to increase their recurring revenue and user engagement in a competitive market.
