Wuling Expands Starlight L SUV Lineup with Five-Seater Version
Filings with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology indicate that Wuling is adding a five-seat configuration to its Starlight L SUV series.

Wuling has officially filed for regulatory approval of a five-seat version of its Starlight L SUV, according to the latest product declarations from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The move provides an alternative to the six-seat configuration that has been the standard for the model since its launch in July.
The Starlight L measures 4,980 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The vehicle utilizes a plug-in hybrid powertrain, offering both 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5T turbocharged engine options paired with a 170 kW electric motor. Equipped with a 37.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, the vehicle achieves a pure electric range of 260 km and a combined range of up to 1,260 km under CLTC conditions.
The model has experienced strong initial sales, with Wuling reporting over 20,000 units sold within the first 80 days of market availability. The introduction of the five-seat option aims to broaden the vehicle's appeal in the competitive mid-to-large SUV market segment.
