X appeals to revive lawsuit against advertisers
X, formerly Twitter, is seeking to revive a lawsuit against advertisers it accuses of illegally boycotting the social media platform. The company is appealing a previous district court ruling that dismissed the case.

X, the social media company formerly known as Twitter, is pursuing an appeal to revive its lawsuit against advertisers. The company alleges that these advertisers engaged in an illegal boycott that harmed its platform.
In March, US District Judge Jane Boyle in Texas dismissed the lawsuit, ruling that the advertisers did not violate antitrust laws. X contends that the boycott was "unusually brazen" and has drawn attention from regulators and Congress, arguing that it should be allowed to recover substantial economic losses.
The appeal comes after X reached a settlement last week with the World Federation of Advertisers, which was the first defendant named in the original suit.
X argues that the prior ruling should be overturned to allow the case to proceed and seek damages for the alleged economic harm caused by the boycott.
