According to Bier, videos constitute close to half of all impressions on X. The newly launched features aim to encourage the creation of original content that isn't available elsewhere on the internet. These tools include an in-app video editor and recorder, with capabilities such as adding multilingual captions.
The video editing and recording functionalities are now available on X's iOS application. This move is expected to help X better distinguish between unique content and plagiarized material, potentially attracting creators who focus on original works.
