Nikita Bier, who led product development at X, is stepping down from his position. Bier announced his departure and stated he would be moving into an advisory role within the company.
The announcement comes just over a month after Bier marked his one-year anniversary at X. He indicated that nearly all aspects of the platform, including its timeline, Android app, chat, and notifications, have been rebuilt under his tenure. Bier stated it was "time to pass the torch and demote myself to my natural state: a poster."
His departure follows recent announcements regarding Elon Musk's combined X, SpaceX, and xAI ventures. The company has named Benji Taylor as the new lead for design, Jonah Katz for iOS, and Mridul Singhai for notifications.
X, formerly known as Twitter, has undergone substantial changes since its acquisition. The platform has been focused on evolving its features and user experience.
