X updates web platform with infrastructure changes to improve load times
Social media platform X has released a redesigned web application aimed at reducing initial load times for logged-in users.

X has begun a phased global rollout of an updated web application, citing significant improvements in performance. Principal engineer Yagiz Nizipli stated that initial load times for profiles under slow connection conditions have been reduced from approximately 22 seconds to 2.7 seconds.
The performance gains are primarily attributed to a technical restructuring of the platform's backend. X has transitioned from a three-server architecture—which handled standard users, search crawlers, and link previews independently—to a consolidated single-server model.
While the company is distributing the update on a country-by-country basis to logged-in users, it has not provided a specific timeline for full global availability. This optimization follows ongoing efforts by the company to stabilize its platform infrastructure.
