Xbox and Ubisoft Expand Partnership for Digital Game Ownership

Microsoft's Xbox gaming platform has announced an expansion of its collaboration with game developer Ubisoft, introducing two significant updates for PC players. These changes aim to provide a richer gaming experience on the PC platform.

A key development is that players who own digital copies of certain Ubisoft titles on an Xbox console will now be able to play these games for free on PC through the Ubisoft Connect service. This benefit extends to multiple titles across popular franchises such as Assassin's Creed and Rainbow Six, as well as individual games like Far Cry 6, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Furthermore, the PC version of the Xbox platform has seen a substantial increase in its library of Ubisoft titles. A large number of digital Ubisoft games, including Deluxe and expansion editions, have been added. These new additions include upcoming titles like Assassin's Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, as well as established games such as Rainbow Six Siege, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

This deepened partnership between Xbox and Ubisoft seeks to offer a more integrated experience for gamers who utilize both Xbox consoles and PCs. The move could also enhance game accessibility and potentially open new avenues for game distribution and player engagement across platforms.
