Xbox CEO: Project Helix to be a 'family of devices'

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has stated that the company's upcoming gaming platform, codenamed Project Helix, will not be a single console. Speaking to BBC News, Sharma described Project Helix as a "family of devices," broadening the prior implication of a singular next-generation console.

Sharma did not directly answer whether the Helix hardware would be disc-less. Coinciding with the announcement, Microsoft also revealed a program for digitizing physical games, potentially signaling a shift towards digital ownership or expanded access to game libraries.
