XCMG establishes first overseas mining machinery component remanufacturing center in Indonesia

XCMG, a major global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, has initiated the construction of its first overseas remanufacturing center for mining machinery components in Balikpapan, Indonesia. The cornerstone for the XCMG Indonesia Remanufacturing Center was laid on September 16.

This new facility represents XCMG's first expansion into establishing a dedicated component overhaul and remanufacturing operation outside of its home country. The center is designed to service and rebuild components, particularly for the mining sector, aiming to enhance service efficiency and reduce turnaround times for regional customers.

The strategic location in Indonesia is expected to bolster XCMG's market position by offering localized and potentially more cost-effective maintenance solutions. This initiative also aligns with circular economy principles by extending the lifespan of existing machinery parts, thereby reducing the demand for new manufacturing.

XCMG has not yet disclosed the projected completion date for the facility or details regarding its operational capacity and employment impact.
