Xer Technologies Integrates Methane Sensor with Drone Platform
Xer Technologies and Pergam-Suisse have integrated the FALCON Plus methane sensor with the X8 PRO drone. The solution allows for methane leak surveying at higher altitudes and longer flight times.

Switzerland-based Xer Technologies has integrated Pergam-Suisse's FALCON Plus infrared laser methane sensor with its X8 PRO UAV platform. This integrated solution allows gas network operators and major oil and gas companies to survey infrastructure corridors for methane leaks more efficiently.
The technology enables clients to survey entire infrastructure corridors for methane leaks using a single drone flight. The drone can operate at altitudes up to 100 meters, enhancing efficiency and safety. The solution complies with EU Methane Regulation (EUMR) Type 2 LDAR requirements.
The FALCON Plus sensor detects and quantifies methane leaks in parts per million (ppm). Combined with the X8 PRO platform's hybrid-electric flight capability of up to 3.5 hours, the system provides a sustained and accurate method for monitoring methane emissions across infrastructure networks.
This integration is expected to significantly improve the precision and coverage of methane leak detection, crucial for regulatory compliance and emission reduction efforts in the energy sector.
