XiamenAir Launches Direct Route Between Xiamen and London

XiamenAir launched a new direct route between Xiamen and London on September 6, as its inaugural flight MF821 landed at London Heathrow Airport.

The flight from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport took approximately 12 hours and carried 263 passengers. This new service directly connects Xiamen, the capital of China's Fujian province, with London, a major global financial hub.

The route's introduction is part of XiamenAir's strategy to expand its international network and strengthen its presence in travel between Asia and Europe. The airline aims to offer passengers a faster and more convenient option for traveling from China's east coast to the United Kingdom.

The service is expected to boost tourism and business between the two cities, while also facilitating cargo and cultural exchanges. XiamenAir has previously opened several European routes as part of its expansion plans.
